The tasting evening featured fine natural and vintage wines chosen by Lady Wine
The ability to offer a wine is not only in the knowledge of the product, but also in the sensitivity with which it is presented and opened at the best time.
The evening started with Gavi DOCG Filagnotti 2014 – Cascina degli Ulivi: a Triple A white wine characterized by an iron minerality deriving from the red soil of the vineyards.
Unfiltered, it is soft and fragrant.
Passing through the great wines of Burgundy, we passed by a Chassegne-Montrachet Marquis de Languiche Joseph Drouhin 2004 from a Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 1998 of the Maison Betrand Ambroise.
Two pure Chardonnay treated in natural way with strong character buttery and complex.
The evening is faded like the shades of wine: from straw yellow to orange of Spanish natural wine Airèn Pampaneo 2017 complex, cloudy and with hints of tropical fruits such as maracuja.
Coming to the most intense red: Corton Grand Cru Les Languettes 1997 of Louis Lequin and the colossal Napa Valley Red Wine AVA Opus One 1988 a kaleidoscope of aromas and flavors that leave you breathless.
An incredible wine for depth and elegance, with an unsettling longevity in which balance and freshness leave room for chocolate in the finish.
The evening ended with a Banyuls M. Chapoutier 1996, a fortified sweet wine produced in France.
Great wine are an experience.
And only those who have extensive knowledge like Lady Wine can make it happen.
